Description
Pain Body: The Essentials
In this online Pilates workshop, you will explore the ways we as Pilates teachers can be a guide and aide to our clients who experience chronic pain and disease. By taking a multifaceted approach to understanding pain, and creative ways of reframing it, we can help our clients along the path of the "healer's journey". By getting to the root of the issue we can lift the veils that cloud clarity, and systematically apply wonderful tools from the Pilates studio to help them shed the skin of pain, layer by layer.
As life is an endless cycle of illness and recovery, being able to view it and cue it from an outside perspective is endlessly valuable to your clients in need. This workshop outlines how to talk about pain with your clients, as well as how to create pain-release scenarios inside of the studio.
Pain Body: Case Study
In this online Pilates workshop, Casey Marie Herdt explores how to work with clients in active pain by taking them through a Trauma Release Protocol. Unlike her other workshops, the protocol in this case study is unrehearsed and left up to the moment so you can see what it is like to think on your feet and design a therapeutic session based on the body in front of you.
Watch Casey work with a real client dealing with chronic pain to help her find more ease and comfort in her body. This workshop will help you start to think about different ways in which you can bring healing movement to your clients.

" Casey presented such important information about pain therapy! Her visual were so helpful, for example, the tires deflate and inflate to feel pressure in the knees. Thanks Casey, for your Clear cues. "

" I really enjoyed the case study approach. It shows what a real session is really like how you have to think on toes because the same person tends to need different approaches depending on what they have been dealing with. I loved the releases can’t wait to apply them! "
Mallory H
" Another wonderful workshop that supports clients in pain. Thank you for sharing theses wonderful insights into such a tricky subject. "

" This was amazing! "

" Thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. Especially that Casey worked with an actual new client. Loved seeing the hands on for the boney rhythms of the foot/leg/hip. Michelle was a very focused client which is so awesome to work with. She looked so different in her body/movement from start to finish. I wish my clients had her focus and drive to want to take the time to work on feeling and seeing changes in their bodies! "

" I am really excited to do this with my clients and I loved Casey Marie’s manner when she was working with Liz.I did feel like the Theory in session 1 was presented too quickly and I had a hard time following all of the information. I really loved the hands on stuff (and now want to buy some smart spine props :))Thank you for all of the great information. "
