Description

Growing Resilience Through Movement is designed for those who are already working with kids and those who would like to, but don’t know where to start. Allie Greene discusses the importance of play and movement, sensory integration, and interoception in children and how we can use our skills as movement practitioners to create fun, innovative, and inspiring classes for them.

Explore developmental patterns, how they can be incorporated into a movement class, and how helping kids be more integrated into their bodies affects mood, confidence and how they interact with the world. With the template she provides, Allie walks through each section of a class with numerous ideas that will provide plenty of options on their own, or inspire additional explorations using Pilates, yoga, creative movement, and games. The end result is a class that encourages independent/creative thinking, whole-body movement, self-efficacy, and resilience.
