Description

How do we impact “local problems” from a GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE?  In this online Pilates workshop, you will see how Amy moves from “isolated sacral laxity” to “whole-body fascial integrity”, by developing a felt sense, with Wendy’s embodied coaching, of how to FREE THE SACRUM through the lens of EMBODIED BIOTENSEGRITY… the study of the tension-compression continuity within biological organisms

We are discovering “movement as bodywork”, a distinction that our body wisdom KNOWS as a conversation with whole-body awareness for CORE COHERENCE.   When we “shift” from waiting to be “fixed” and told the “answer”…to instead being in the exploration of “what is working and what is missing”, we begin to be guided by our relationship with the natural world…our innate BIOTENSEGRITY BODY.

Studying and being in touch to ask questions, rather than just “reading” the handouts that accompany this course will open you to developing an embodied approach to your personal practice and teaching, and deepen your understanding of “fascial release through movement” as you practice along with Amy as she is learning to unravel an old, chronic pattern.

Learn, along with Amy:

  • An Embodied approach to PILATES Bridge, Swan, Spine Stretch, Saw and more
  • Discovering the Hamstrings “embryonic” relationship with uplift along the front of the spine
  • Discovering how “soft ankles” release the sacrum and reorient the spine
  • Cultivating how to use Stretch-eze Band and Theraband to “communicate” with your whole body CORE COHERENCE
  • Discovering YOUR direct experience of the Fascial Dog Flow Series… an embodied practice where your feet and hands ROOT THROUGH THE GIRDLES to your “Breathing Spine”
  • Developing an awareness of the two kinds of time in the body:  Neurological Time and Connective Tissue Time
  • Revealing how the body thinks in Polarities and Relationships

  • Shift your "contextual" experience of moving and teaching from a pieces and parts, body as machine to be trained and fixed, Biomechanical approach.....to body as a living process that KNOWS how to self-organize and adapt,
  • Biointelligence/Biotensegrity approach
  • Cultivate awareness of what is blocking Core Coherence to create a stable and mobile organism
  • Move beyond a dissective "lines" approach to an Embryological fields approach, where the "back of the leg relates to the front of the spine"
