Description
Kinh O’Brien takes you through a well-rounded and thorough exploration of the hips in this Hip Maintenance workshop. This program flows from an educational lecture to movement demonstrations on Kinh herself and finishes with an assessment and example lesson plan specifically made for the client in front of her.
After this workshop, you’ll have a better understanding of specific movement patterns of the hip, feel more confident taking your clients through a hip assessment, and walk away inspired to try these corrections on yourself and your own clients.
The exercises explored in this workshop range from hip release, activation, mobility, and strengthening so you can be sure you’re creating a well-rounded approach toward overall hip health.
Objectives
- Experience the pelvis’ movement patterns with a short movement series
- Discuss the movement patterns of the 4 parts of the hip
- Learn Hip Assessments to recognize and understand movement patterns of our clients and identify a strategy to create a session to meet the client’s needs
- Develop a plan and learn exercises to maintain healthy and strong hip movement patterns based on findings from our assessments
