I like the idea of the upright active seating and pelvic positioning but am concerned about cervical spine safety with these suggestions. All of them show the head way forward of the headrest. The headrest needs to be lightly touching the back of the head to prevent whiplash and cervical spine injury in case of a car accident.
Hi Jill,
Thank you so much for writing in and pointing that out. I love our community so much. Honestly, on this day we had just bought this car and I had not even taken it out yet. And yes, the seat back needed to come forward a lot!! Now that I have gotten use to my car and have everything set my head is not touching but is about 2 or 3 inches away which is what I think is suggested. I also think it depends on the car and if you can adjust the head restraint forward and back. The other point ( and maybe more important) is that the head restraint is as high as the driver’s head ( which I did not have either) . I will re do this one Jill and make you proud.
