Description

For those struggling with scoliosis, understanding how their body moves through space can be challenging. In this workshop, Dr. Suzanne Martin explores somatic and corrective strategies to help clients with scoliosis improve foot loading and overall body awareness.

Drawing from her own scoliosis journey, Dr. Martin presents the material from a neurological, not just orthopedic, perspective.

You’ll learn how to implement three assessment tests that explore psychological skills designed to build client confidence in everyday movements. Dr. Martin also shares her favorite cues to help clients imagine, think, and feel activations from the brain to the body.

This workshop includes a wide range of exercises — from the mat to the reformer, chair, and trapeze table — so you’ll feel prepared to work with clients dealing with scoliosis or spinal asymmetry.
