Kinh has been teaching for over a decade and credits her curiosity and varied life experiences to her unique approach to teaching that blends multiple modalities that she continuously studies and integrates in her approach. She began her formal Pilates training with Jean Sullivan at a Body of Work in San Francisco, and received her 500-hour YTT at the famed Yoga Tree studios in the Bay Area. After studying energy work and manual therapy via fascial correction and release methods in Berkeley, CA with Lynda Caesara, she went on to apprentice closely with Madeline Black since 2015. Under Madeline's tutelage, Kinh has assisted in national workshops for Balanced Body, and taught hundreds of other movement professionals the Madeline Black Method via online teacher training modules.
Kinh believes in teaching to the body, and observing and respecting its patterns to guide her approach and strategy. Her emphasis has been teaching herself and other teachers to "see" their students not just with their eyes, but also with their ears, hands and their own felt-sense and experiences to empathize with their students. Learning to understand the body's many reciprocal responses throughout the system in movement continues to drive her curiosity and passion for teaching.
