Jennifer....This workshop is just wonderful and so well presented. I am watching it a second time and having so many "ah ah" moments! Learning about the SPI and how connecting to this helps complete the 3D rib/breath is so awesome! Also how finding that just right position helps you connect to the deep core without having to actually think about "engaging the abs" - so cool!! I have been bringing more focus to "primal" work in my own practice and also want to bring to my students as well, and I was wondering if you have any resources (books, courses, videos, etc) you could recommend to further my study. I am also trying to not follow the "rules" so much and just be curious about movement and not tell a student how to move right away but let them experience the movement first. I am finding this difficult but a welcomed challenge. After teaching for 18 years and being a very detailed teacher this is so hard! I almost feel like I am not teaching, and I think I need to find a balance. Let the student move, see what you see, ask the student questions and then give some cues to help deepen the work. Thank you so much for such an informative workshop! Hope there is more to come!! |

Hi Bonnie, I am so happy you enjoyed this video. Jen Zumman is an amazing teacher. Please check out her other stuff on the site. I love your last paragraph. You are letting the movement happen and therefore you will know what to cue and how to guide the client. I think that all too often we have an agenda and we don't get to experience how the client really moves and letting them figure out their own strategies. I love what your doing. Masterful teaching.
