Hi Jen! Hi Casey! This week I'm working on lumbo pelvic stability and limb strength. On session 10 of trapeze and cadillac refresher course, you suggest to add rotation of the pelvis in bridge pose without moving legs: are you talking about finding 3 and 9 o'clock while the pelvis is up? And in this case, the glute of the side of the pelvis that "fall" is relased? And the controlateral glute is supposed to work more? Grazie mille! Margherita |

Hi there Marghertita! I love how diligently you are working! Yes, to add a pelvic rotation in a bridge you will work between the 3 and 9 o'clock (where the ASIS bones take turns being closer to the ceiling). The idea is to keep the femur heads, knees, and second toe in alignment while doing this work. There will be a little bit of a piston action of the legs, but they will not fall to the outside. As you stated above very correctly, the ASIS side that moves down towards the mat will have less work opposed to the other side. It is really nice to play with pelvic clocking with the body supported by a ball (Mikasa or Overball) to get the feeling of the movement, then go right into this type of bridging work. Keep up the good work! Much Love, Casey Marie |
